The GTO is just under 11lbs per hp stock. Your Cobalt will be at just over 11lbs per hp.
Using the above and factoring in turbo lag and the width of the GTO's power band versus the 2.4's power band, plus the traction issues high power frontdrive cars have, I'd put money on the GTO. If your friend can drive he'll be a 13.0-13.2 1/4 mile guy. If you can drive you'll be under 14.0. Not bus lengths, but decisive.
Catch him at 40-50, with your boost up and him in 2nd and you'll have a fun run to 70-75.
