06 GTO vs 06 350Z

Okay, this last weekend it was actually nice and dry outside, after snow and -0 temps the last few weeks. So me and my supervisor from work decide to go out for a few runs. He drives an '06 GTO 6MT w/ JBA exhaust. I drive an '06 350Z Coupe 6MT stock. Going into it, I figured I'd lose by about 6 cars regardless of the race, from a dig or roll. Turns out, I was wrong. Here's the results:

Race 1- from a 25 punch to 120, he won by 4 cars. Shoulda been more, but he accidentally started in 2nd

Race 2- from a 10 roll to 100, he won by 3 cars

Race 3- from a dig to 95, he won by 3 cars

Race 4- from a 45 roll to 100, he won by 3 1/4-1/2 cars

All in all, they were some good runs. We were both really impressed w/ how well my car hung w/ his. A friend of mine has a twin turbo 350Z that the GTO driver wants to run. The TT 350Z beats me by about 7-8 cars depending on race length. Bottom line, unless you run into a Z that's heavily modded, race is in your favor big time, lol. Just thought you guys might enjoy the info.
