I had a 02 wrx with an EJ207 swap. JDM STi Engine and tranny transplant. 18G is a common size upgrade for the 2.0. 20G is almost for drag only on the 2.0, good for autocross and tracking on the 2.5. FP green is good for 450-500whp with alcohol injection.

My friend had an 06 with an FP green, and it spun all four tires until 3rd gear. Stupid fast. I have to say, that even my 2.0, on stock WRX turbo and injectors was pulling on SRT8's on the freeway. Now... I had all kinds of other goodies, but it shouldn't surprise any of you to get handled by a modded STi.

The GTO really begins to shine in 3rd gear, and should easily take any STi, WRX, and MR evo.

Now... a word of caution here. The 5 speeds will pull incredibly hard until about 130. I had RA gears that had a huge 1st (47mph) and short 2-5. Redlined 5th at 143mph, but it pulled like a freightrain. A lot of evo owners will swear by the GSR tranny, as it pulls harder up top, and in the quarter mile. So the bottom line is that if the guy knows what he's doing, has a good tuner, he can walk on Lambo LP640's until triple digit speeds, at which point drag co-efficient, and torque/HP will be the deciding factor. Before some of you call BS, know that I have friends with modded STi's, Evo's, and one with a LP640 who's at the butt end of their jokes.
