I just saw 4.99 in North Hollywood. Believe it or not, $5.00 a gallon is already here. I also saw diesel at 5.29.

I am also contemplating buying a new bike. Yamaha R1 to be exact. I owned an old FZR1000 but it broke down a few months ago and I haven't ridden for about 3 months, but I think it's definitely time to get back on the saddle.

Here is what I came up with. I pay about $500/month in gas with the goat. New bike would be about $250/month with insurance and about $15 per fill up. That will get me about 120 Miles on one tank. = 3 days commute round trip. Filling up 7 times a month X $15 = $105

$105+$250=$355 Per month. I would save $145 per month. $1740/year. Plus, and we can't forget this, I get a new toy. That alone should be a determining factor.

Almost a no brainer huh?
