Also, check the lower radiator hose to verify that it is not collasping, was the water pump changed during the rebuild and was the radiator cleaned and restored by a radiator shop? Re: timing, How old is the gas in the tank, could it be bad? Have you checked the vacuum and was the block decked or the heads shaved?
