Your reaction is understandable, but like it or not, it is a fact of life and is increasingly accepted with restoration circles. If you read my response, I said I've never done it. Personally I disagree with it, but I'd get more upset about restamping VINs on a block (also a increasingly common event), than to change a correct dated motor from a YF to a YS. The forum is about exchanging ideas and this might be a viable option for someone in this fellow's position. No one is making you do it and no one is asking you buy it.
