Getting a 10 to squeeze on the rear is going to be tuff. I'm not going to say its impossible but it would be tuff for a couple of reasons. GTO's (new body) all have extremely high offset requirements. Our guide recommends no wider than a 9.5" wheel for the rear with a 61-64mm offset. To get a 10" wheel to fit the rear you would need to modify the fenders or add fender flares/wide body kit to get them to fit. I would guess it would need an offset around 58mm or so but you'd need to have it measured. As for the tire size, the 275.40.17 would fit great on the rear but you wouldn't need a 10" rim for them the 9.5" would be fine and would still give you the nice footprint you are looking for. Our guide shows with a 9.5" wide wheel with a 61-64mm offset you should actually be able to get a 285.40.17 under there.
