I haven't heard of any problems with the Cags being the cause of problems with anything but anything is possible. I would think you would have gotten safety mode readings right after you installed it if that was the cause.
They should be able to identify the cause when they hook up the gizmo under your dash. Maybe a new BCM, or PCM is the fix?
