Johnny Z was the GTO. More than Bunkie K, more than Pete Estes and certainly more than Jim Wagners. He was chief engineer and bottle washer. He and his cronies squeezed the 389 into the Tempest and slapped on the triple duces. Later, as head of Pontiac, his team came out with the most beautiful Goats of all, the '68-69s.
