Can hideaways be installed after the endura is installed

My car is ready for paint but not all of my hideaway equiptment is here. Can I install all hideaway parts after paint while keeping endura installed?

If the bumper is on the car, you can install/replace the hoses and actuators by removing the valance panel.

The door pivot mechanism, the main mounting brackets (outer and inner brackets) and all the stops and bushings have to be installed before the bumper is installed to the car.

The good news is that removing the bumper is pretty easy...but that thing is heavy. I've done it by myself, but it's best to have a helper. After removing the lower valance and disconnecting the vacuum and electrical connections, there are 4 bolts attaching the bumper mounting brackets to the frame horns and 2 upper retainer bolts at the outboard corners (just loosen these 2; you don't need to remove them completely).

i have concerns removing the valance and bumper of a newly painted car. I must do something different. But what?

The only option I can think of is to delay installing and painting the bumper until you have installed the hideaway mechanism.

Fit the bumper to the fenders and mark all our fastener/bracket locations so you will know exactly how to re-position everything after it's all painted. Remove the bumper, paint it (before or after installing the hideaway stuff), then re-install the complete, painted bumper. Alignment will be simplified by having all the locations marked.
