How to tell h.o. car

I am in the process of buying a 67 gto. I brought it to a local classic car restorer that is very reputable. He said I may have hit the jackpot and may have an h.o. gto. How do I find out..

Send the VIN # to PHS and they will tell you for sure what options the car came with from the factory.

You can check and see if the engine is HO by getting the engine letter code from the front of the block and the casting number from the back of the block. As Rukee said, PHS is the way to tell if the car left the factory with the High Output option.

the brake lines on pasenger side are ran different than none HO my line goes under frame rail not over and makes a180 to connect at wheel look in from passenger side wheel if it goes strait up non ho

A '67 HO car will have a WS engine code if it's got a manual trans. It will also have the header-type high flow exhaust manifolds. The Positive battery cable will be routed differently to the starter than on a standard GTO. It will also have an open element air cleaner assembly, not the flat pancake type with louvres on it.
