rim size question

Hi, On a 1970 GTO, putting new rims on, will 16x8.5 rims work and not cause any problems? Wanted to do this so I can put tires on that have a lower profile sidewall than 245/60, not sure what though. Anyone have this size already with some pics? Thanks, Shane

Go to tirerack.com you can put in the make, model & year of your car. The computer system at their site will put up a small model of your GTO & you can even chg the color. Also on the top of the screen are all the wheels they have that will fit your car. Click on the wheel & it will appear on the car. You can click on a 14" 15" 16" and see how they look your GTO. All wheels show fit your car & they recommend the correct tire size for the wheel that also fits the car taking out the guess work of what will fit & what tire will rub.
