1969 GTO Convert 4 Speed for sale
Project car, lost my storage and have another classic car in the works, so it's got to go :-(
VIN 242679B15xxxx. Posted a couple thread on it here last year looking to decode the engine, determined it's a SR block warrantied/replaced by Pontiac in 1970.
Heads are correct. 4 Speed is #'s matching. Both have been rebuilt recently, but the previous owner, who is local and a good guy, was in the process of turning it in to a strip car, and had removed the PS, battery, etc, so can't hear it run. Glad he didn't get very far with that :-) I have more detailed specs on engine rebuild.
Interior is out except for back of seat and rear seat belts. Upholstery is good except for a small spilt on a side bolster, and backs of door panels are mildewy, was going to buy those but hadn't gotten around to it. Dash is good, has one small repairable cut on a side/end.
Floor is decent on one side, needs some patches, more rust on other side, may need a pan. Same with trunk. Cowl is not rusted.
Body is pretty nice, was getting close to paint and is in mostly high build primer. 1/4's already replaced.
Went thru and inventoried the parts and see most everything there, plus some extra, missing windshield washer squirters but PO thinks he still has them.
Have PHS docs, not a highly optioned car, PS but no PB, tach in dash, tinted glass, rally wheels, trunk/hood light.
Clear title, old one that shows low miles, and car has actual 42k on it, two owners had it for approx 20 and 28 years each before I bought it last year. Verdoro Green with green interior, black top.
Message for more info. Asking $12,000 best offer.
Located 30 minutes north of Mpls, MN. Transport may be possible if not too far.
