THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL 1965 GTO 2DR HT. THE PAINT ON THIS CAR IS NEW. THERE ARE NO PATCH PANELS ON THE CAR AND THERE IS NO RUST ANYWHERE. THIS IS NOT A SHOWCAR! IT IS A VERY CLEAN, VERY NICE 65 GTO. IT IS NOT A FRAME OFF RESTORATION. THERE ARE SOME DEFECTS BUT THIS CAR IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE. ANY DEFECTS ARE VERY MINOR. THERE IS APPROXIMATELY 2500 MILES ON THE ENGINE AND DRIVE LINE. THE TRUNK PAN WAS REPLACED AT SOMETIME PRIOR TO ME OWNING IT. ALL SUSPENSION HAS BEEN REPLACED. (BALLS, SPRINGS, TIERODS, BUSHINGS AND SHOCKS) COMPLETE UNDERSIDE HAS BEEN PAINTED. TIRES AND WHEELS ARE 99%WHEELS ARE CHROME REVERSE WITH BABY MOONS. (PERFECT CONDITION) TIRES ARE CONTINENTAL 2000H.P. (APPROX 500 MILES) FIVE TIRES AND WHEELS. TRANSMISSION IS M-20 (MUNCIE) 4 SPD W/HURST COMPETITION PLUS SHIFTER, U-JOINTS ARE NEW (FRONT AND REAR) DIFFERENTIAL IS 3.23 POSI-TRAC. REAR SUSPENSION IS AIR SHOCKS AND AIR BAGS (STRAIGHT SHOT WHEN YOU COME OUT) BOTH BUMPERS ARE NEW. INTERIOR IS ALL NEW (EVERYTHING) DASH HAS FACTORY RALLY PACK. EVERYTHING WORKS. RADIO IS AFTERMARKET FROM THE 1960'S WITH 8 TRACK AND IT WORKS ALSO. RADIO IS AM/FM. THIS CAR IS A REAL GTO, NOT A CLONE. ORIGINAL COLOR WAS YELLOW. THE NEW COLOR IS 1966 GTO GOLD. ENGINE IS A 1963 SUPER DUTY (420-A) 389 C.I. 4 BOLT MAIN, MCKELLAR #11 SOLID LIFTER CAM W/1.65 ROCKERS. ENGINE HAS BEEN BORED + .60 W/FLAT TOP PISTONS AND COMPLETELY BALANCED. HEADS ARE #62 W/NEW VALVES, GUIDES AND SEALS. EXHAUST MANIFOLDS ARE ORIGINAL W/2 INCH ALUMINUM PIPES AND FLOWMASTER MUFFLERS. THE CAR REALLY SOUNDS GOOD. INTAKE MANIFOLD IS ALUMINUM (EDELBROCK RPM). CARB IS A HOLLEY 750 CFM (DOUBLE PUMPER) ALTERED AS YOU CAN SEE. IGNITION IS STOCK LOOKING BUT HAS BLASTER II COIL AND PERTRONICS INSIDE OF DISTRIBUTOR. THERE IS NO POWER STEERING BUT THERE IS POWER BRAKES. STEERING WHEEL DOES HAVE FEW SMALL CRACKS. I DO HAVE NEW GLOVE BOX INSERT BUT HAVE NOT INSTALLED IT YET. IN CHECKING WITH PETE MCCARTHY (PONTIAC ENTHUSIAST MAGAZINE) IN REFERENCE TO ENGINE... THE CASTING #532000 IS FACTORY REPLACEMENT 420A, 389 SUPER DUTY 1963, 4 BOLT MAIN. HEAD'S (#62) ARE FROM A 1968 FULL SIZE PONTIAC W/74CC CHAMBERS (10.50 COMP RATIO CAM IS SET AT INTAKE .10 AND EXHAUST .15 HOT. FOR MCKELLAR #11. THIS CAR RUNS PERFECT, SOUNDS AND LOOKS REALLY GOOD. I have the original owners Protection Card, Plate and Book. Car was originally a Calf. car. I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND REALLY DON'T WANT TO SELL IT, BUT AT THIS TIME, I MUST.
