FS Eastwood Fender Roller - used once

I bought this new to "roll my own" after searching in vain for a body/performance shop close by that knew what they were doing. I bought this with the full intention of selling after I "rolled my own." I paid $313 with shipping for the tool. I am willing to sell for $260 including shipping to any address in the continental US. I expect payment by postal money order prior to my shipping. My price is firm. I wanted to give this forum first shot. If I don't hear anything, I will list on LS1.

I may not check email until the 5th, but rest assured the first one to Private Message me on this forum will get the prize. I will respond with payment instructions.

Thank you.

I think it worked well. I went to several "performance" shops and over half wanted nothing to do with rolling fenders. The rest wanted to use a pipe or baseball bat to "stick in there" and then use the leverage of driving the car forward to do the "rolling." The shop where I ultimately had some work done installing my JHP spoiler told me that they would use a pipe and it might splay the fenders outward, but they would make it work.

The more I heard about it, this tool made a lot more sense to me. It took me about 30 minutes per fender. I used a heat gun to warm the paint and then rolled away. Yes, you need to use a little force to get this thing to work. I think it did a good job. I did crack the paint on the edge where I was very aggressive and got close to flattening it completly out. I wasn't too worried about that, as I knew it would be fixed with the spoiler install.

So, long answer to your question, unless you are super aggressive, I think it worked well. If you are aggressive or want to go too fast, there is a real risk of cracking the paint. The nice thing about it is the controlled nature of how the fender is rolled. If you use the bat and roll the car forward method, there is no stopping halfway.

Yes, I will do pics. I am waiting on my friends at Gravana to send me my ROH Drift R's so I can show off the spoiler and the wheels at the same time. Jim tells me this won't happen until the end of July. The car looks awesome with the JHP spoiler.

THanks for the question.

I've seen one of those Eastwood thingmies. Pretty trick.

It has to work better than the way my fenders were rolled, which was apparently by shoving a Louisville Slugger betwixt the sheet metal and the tire then literally "rolling" the inside fender lip. The customer reviews appear favorable as well. If you don't bother to soften the paint via heat gun and the paint does crack on the inside of the lip, do what the guys who rolled my fenders did and slap some undercoat in there...

$260 including shipping is actually a helluva deal...but mine are already done. :thup

Did it fall through?? I'm new here and I was actually looking for one earlier today. That's a really fair price considering what I seen earlier...

unless in the business this is not a high use item and the new buyer would probably sell after they use it. Keep an eye out or give info for the buyer to contact you when they are done.
