i read a comparison between the 03-04 mach 1 vs 04 gto recently. Mach 1 Mustang vs. Pontiac GTO- Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords Magazine
they give the nod to the mach 1, but it is a ford magazine

. overall they seem to be really evenly matched. the mach 1 was just a tenth or so faster in the quarter and the goat had a higher trap speed.
