Challengers

The first few challengers were said to be auctioned off to benefit charaities. I saw it on one of the shows i was watching couple months ago. I think it was one of my evening news segments, they were showing one of the auto show segments. I wish I recorded it. Anyway, they said they would be marked way up and hard for the average NJgoat to get one right away! I think they did a good job with the challenger. Ofcourse I have not seen it in person but, have seen many of pictures. I'm sure it will be too much money for my blood. But, my goat will kick its a** anyway!

I think we can blame the retro look on the PT CRUISER. I got sick of the reto look after seeing 5 MPM. 5 Mustangs per mile

The retro look wears thin quickly.
Pairing the new and old Challenger together and there's no "challenge" there.

I'm glad to see muscle return though and I'm also glad to see Pontiac as a rebel again by having the GTO as a new design opposed to a retro design.

It's a chore to rationalize the car's premise over and over again to those that are ignorant and expect the styling to be retro.

I had a friend, whom I consider to be very intelligent just say- that's not a real GTO- referring to my 05. My face became Torrid Red before I pounded him with information-luckily I didn't resort to physical violence.

I have been thinking about adding another car to the group either in 08 or 09, Not sure what I want but I know it won't be a Challanger or the Camaro. They will be over priced and the styling of both suck. The concept Chevelle is looking good to me

You are very observant. That HRSS 454 was built from a 2004 GTO. I don't know if that car was ever intended as a concept of a Chevelle SS but this is the only pic I have come across as anything remotely close to a Chevelle SS concept. See the pics below of the transformation. I posted these a while back.

A little pudgy in the rear but, immediately recognizable as a Chevelle. If Bobby Lutz and the crew at Chevy ever put something close to this in production, I'd buy one. The 69-71 Chevelle is my personal weak spot when it comes to muscle cars.

LS2 or LS3 please. And a six speed auto with paddles in addition to the Tremec mixmaster dujour. And don't retro the interior. Gimme modern ergonomics, Nav, satellite radio, auto climate control, bluetooth, tilt & telescope, cupholders, etc. Make the shift knob a T-handle though. And gimme an outdrive rear end with a switch on the shift handle.

After further review....... President Bush and Al Gore have determined the ruling will stand...... Hybrids are in, old school, or any resemblances to old school is out.
