Corvette Z06 stock into the 10's

A driver over at the Corvetteforum by the name of Ranger recently ran a 10.856 at 129.5 with his stock 06 Z06. Freaking incredible. He had DR's, but the car hasn't had a tune or anything else yet.

Here are his times:

60'.......... 1.679 with a 3650rpm fast clutch release fast throttle squeeze
330'........ 4.625
660'........ 7.046 at 102.61
1000'...... 9.114
1320'...... 10.856 at 129.5

Can you imagine the feeling of running more than 100 mph in the 1/8.

Incredible job Ranger and GM for making the fabulous Z06.

I want to shift just like that. Maybe I could break the all time stock GTO 1/4 mile time. By the way is there one? Will I hurt my car? One Day!!

The air down here in Florida is not the greatest for drag racing. Usually if the temperature is low the humidity will run 80-100 percent. Also if the temperature is low the barometer is low.

Now with the excuses made, I've got one 12.4 at 114. Last night I was running most 12.8-12.9. I had 1) 13.0 and 1) 12.6. My speeds were mid 110 to mid 111.

Mostly I seem to run around that 12.6 number.

No doubt the Z06 is the high water mark of American muscle right now. Awesome car!
