Doc Vs. Big Turbo T-Type and Procharged Stang

We all met for some racing out in the middle of nowhere. Thank god I had my GPS with me or we would have never got back to the main road . . . Well, The first race was a guy with a Buick T-Type with a big turbo, FMIC, meth injection, and big Nitto drags on Welds. I wasn't sure about any other mods but I heard that he runs high 11s. So, me with my freshly installed BFG drags, lowers the pressures, heats up the tires and stages . . . There is at least 50-70 spectators so I wanted to put on a good show so I'm ready to go. I hear the T-Type stalling his turbo up and I'm holding steady at 2500 rpms and the guy drops his arms - where off

The T-Type gets a car on me off the line and I'm fighting traction but when I hit 2nd it catches gos and I start to reel him in. I go for 3rd and MISS SHIFT . . . DAMMIT . . .. I abort the race and return to line up again. I can hear people talking smack but I ignore it and DBlue tells me that he was talking my shifting/driving skills up and then I F-up my shift . . . Oh well.

We line up again this time I get the BFGs hot and am holding at 3000rpms. The starter drops his arms and we are gone. The T-Type gets about 3/4 car on me and by 2nd I'm next to him and by 3rd he's in my review . . . I pulled him pretty hard . . . When we got back he told me nice race and that was the first time he's been beat . . .

I chilled a while and another GTO (exhaust mod 05 M6) runs a turbo 200SX and takes him! GTOs are tops so far. Just as I'm about to leave the guy in charge tells me he wants me to run again. I said fine and he pulls out this procharged SN95 Stang.

Turns out, this cars camming and has MT drags on the rear . . . We line up and are waiting for the arm drop and this guys totally jumps the start and gets 1 1/2 cars on me so I chased and by 110 of 1 car back. This guy was fast but we talked and he knew he jumped so we went again. This time the starter was going to use a flashlight.

Lined up and I'm ready to go and the guy does this flashing thing where he lowers his arms slowly and them turns the light on. Well - Mr. Stang jumps again but only gets a car on me so I'm chasing again. This time my car has traction issues in 2nd and is a little squirrly but I'm still on him and by 112 I was at his door and he lets out . . . I was gaining slowly but this thing was fast and the driver obviously has ADD because he likes to go before the race actually starts - but the rules are "you chase - you race . . ."

1-1 for the evening. Not bad . . .

I feel that jumping in a street race is just like red lighting at the track. So to me, you were 2-0.

Nice runs

Good stuff. I too consider you 2-0

Where do you guys drag? I'm in Tampa and wouldn't mind an hour or so drive for the chance.

This spot is in the middle of nowhere. It is off of 484 around Ocala. If it wasn't for my GPS I would have gotten lost trying to get out. We were there 1:30 hours with no problems and they meet between 11:30pm and 12:00am. I'm sure you could join the fun.

If he jumped and you started to catch him next time don't let off until you pass him. Then take the win on top speed...if they say they let off tell them how you gave them a head start.

Where we let out is pretty close to the end of the road before it turns into dirt . . . We need some breaking area!
