GTOs are just slow!!

Hello everyone, just thought you might want to know that they guys over MustangForums.com/kill section say that the GTOs can't run 12s with tires, or break 109. One guy showed a video of the GTO running 14.5 99 and it was an 05-06. i hate when people speak of things, they just don't know. If you chime in get ready for war.

yea, i know just snapping a little, please forgive my grammer, i'm just a little upset, because people should not generalize. A car's greatest potential is only achieved through its driver.

Yep. That GTO vid they showed may have been someone's first drag try, or who knows.

Then again, that tactic is used many other places. Just as an example, I remember back in 2000 some guy I knew thought this Toyota Mr2 commercial was real cool because it showed a Mr2 passing another car--I think it was a 300Zx if I remember. For some reason he thought it meant the new Mr2 was 'fast'. I tried, without success to explain to him that even if it were not a staged commercial, the 300Zx looked like it was minding its own business. I could pass a Ferrari in a smoke-belching 70's VW Beetle if the Ferrari was cruising at 45 and I went 60 in the Beetle, but it doesn't make the Beetle a faster car.

Don't get mad, just kick their azz on the street/strip. Let them think what they want! I read through that thread over there and there are several post of crapstangs owners who went out and test drove the GTO and liked the power just not the look. I'll tell you one thing for sure--I'm not going to a Ford dealership just to drive one of their cars. I love my Goat!
