Mustang at least tried

Last night at like 1:00 in the morning, I am heading back from the girlfriends house, just cruisin the speed limit, when this '04 GT pulls out from a side road and flies by me. It crossed my mind to punch it and catch up, but I was tired and my bed sounded really nice at the time. Anyways, we end up catching a light together and he starts to throw me revs like crazy, all the while he is shaking his head and giving me this "you don't have a chance" stare. His exhaust sounded really nice and the car looked sharp, so I was like "alright chief lets go". I roll up the windows, turn down Mettalica and turn the volume up on the radar detector. Light turns green and I get a pretty good launch w/ very little tire spin (A4). He hangs in there with his nose at my bumper till about 75, then I begin to pull away, shutting it down around 110 with almost a good 2 carlengths on him.
The road was pretty empty, so I wasn't worried about cars, just Missouri's finest. So I cruise back to 65 and he meets me at the next light and doesn't even glance over. I wanted to ask him if he had done anything to it 'cause it sounded really nice, but he kept his eyes forward, so I wasn't gonna bother.
I love this car!
Sorry about the long post.

If an 04 Stang hung right next to you up to 75 there is no question he had some time and money invested. You can take that to the bank. Nice kill, and he was a punk for not giving you your props.
