Radio got beat.....

Went out to the street races last Saturday night just cruising through. There were the usual 5 million f-bodys and about half as much Cobras. To make a long story short, I pick on the meanest sounding Cobra there and we run from a 40 roll on the freeway.... he pulled me by a little over a car to 140, here is his mod list.
  • ported blower
  • smaller pulley
  • long tubes
  • cat back
  • Bogarts front and rear
  • Mickey Thompson ET Streets on the rear (no spin at all)
  • full tune
  • full suspension
  • irs swaped in favor of a straight axle
...the guy was super cool, he said his best time was a 7.5 @ 96 in the eighth, that car was a friggin' beast.
Funny thing was, he raced a STS Fbody after me and beat him (the fbody) by a car.... so, I don't feel that bad.
Oh well, only two losses and a ton of wins.... can't get 'em all.

Are you sure it wasn't half a million cobra's and half as many f bodies because on a daily basis that is what I see.

Nice death! Not much worth racing around these parts except v6 300's and v6 Mustangs. I got to get to the track and see what it'll do.

You should go to the Irwindale 1/8 mile track by my house and 90% of the cars running are mustangs. I will admit there are quite a few fast ones there using superchargers. I would have to say 60% of those there would kick the crap out of my virtually stock goat.

Alot of the mustangs the night I went were doing the 1/8th mile in about 8.3 as opposed to my times of 9.002.
