run in with a evo

so me and my buddy are heading down I 4 yesterday when we come up on a wrx. (just the plain one) so i ride along side but he is not interested, so my friend says there is a brand new (had temp tag) evo, so i pull up to him and do a slow roll by and he down shifts and takes off, so i followed suite. we played for a few miles but traffic was pretty thick, but we got one chance to make one run, i was behind him when we took off, well i could not pass him and he could not leave me either. we ran from around 75 -80 to around 110- 120 (wasn't looking at speedo). after we played a little i rode up next to him we both smiled and gave a nod and went on our way. i know the evo is fast so i was kinda glad i could keep up with him with a heavier car, with a passanger (he was alone) and not lose no ground. all in all it was fun and no one got hurt.

He must of had mods already. The 05/06 GTO should pull an Evo above 80mph pretty good unless your car is still under 2500 miles and not broke in yet.

its got about 950 miles on it so far. how many miles does it take before it reaches its full potential

I felt a great increase after 3000, I'm at 4050 now and I'm still feeling the power coming. I think after 5000 it should be "fully" broken in. OMO

About 3000 miles for me. Have not noticed a change since for me.

BTW - Good race. Gald you were looking at his bumper and not your speedo at 100mph.

If you got next to him you would have been able to pull away from him, even with you buddy in the car.

I keep my overspeed set to max @ 130 mph. That way I know when I'm close to the sound barrier! Wish it would go higher.
