another newbie question (s)

Hello all !! Just put down some cash to hold an 06 M6 with 2032 miles on it . CARFAX was clean and I've looked at 45 pics but have not seen or drove the car in person yet. I plan on going over the car in 1 week. It appears to be pristine ( cyclone gray with 18's ). besides checking the fluids what should I be looking for ? Im 55years old and a former Porsche guy with lots of mechanical ability.

Thanks fittrjoe

There are all sorts of little issues with these cars that can be car specific with build. The main thing Id check is if the front tires are rubbing the struts.

Also the fuel covers should be check that they are not rubbibg the fuel line. And the BCM wiring can rub the under dash metal and cause electrical issues.

But dont let the long list discourage you, I havent had any of the issues listed , but did do a few preemptive things when I got mine.

This problem is only on the 2004 GTO the cover was changed in 2005-06 so it wount happen.

all the basic problem have allready been taken care of by the Org, Owner.

CAI and Headers to open up the LS2 engine first and formost as far as mods go.

Update : I DID buy the car ... It checked out all good . Really enjoy the torque, looks and sound . Interior ergonomics are very good as well. Only gonna change out the shifter ( GMM RIPSHIFT ) and maybe drop in a K& N. A very nice high performance Touring car IMHO. Gonna treat her right !

Look into a MGW modified for our cars by Proxes Tuning. But I'm biased.
