Is there a way to tell if the dealer used Mobil 1 when changing the oil?
Oil was changed in October when I purchased the car with 11000 miles. I was planning on changing the oil again this coming October but I was just wondering if even a "good dealer" would stick to the regimen as opposed to using a cheaper regular oil.

Does it not say on your invoice?

Thanks judge. Good idea to bring the oil and filter for them to use. I will most likely be doing my own changes in the future. I hope the car's ground effects clears the ramps I have. I prefer not to jack it up.
Ask your dealer what they use on the car and in the future, take your own oil and filter with you and let them use it. That's what I do.
My dealer uses what the manual calls for, on my GTO anyway.
When I left my dealer oil change my oil, the invoice shown what oil they used.
See, I would not personally be able to do this, as who says they are putting the oil in you brought? The mechanic could easily dump in some crap he uses regularly and take that oil home for his silverado! Careful my friend!
Isn't an invoice ................... the voice you hear in your head?
Yea, but there always seems to be some sort of argument going on in there. I just do what the loudest voice tells me to do!

Welcome to the Forum Sloop.
Good point. Anything is possible. Personally if I were dealing with a less than reputable dealer my skepticism would be outweigh my trust. After dealing with a place so long I get a feeling of trust that when they say they did something, and then document it I take it at face value, until such a time I find otherwise.
Could a bonehead mechanic steal my oil and replace it with something else? Sure. If found otherwise he leaves himself and the dealership open to serious consequences especially when documentation is noted. Could the dealership charge you for parts they say they installed but didn't? Dateline NBC has archives of unscrupulous dealers and oil change joints.
I guess I could ask for my empty containers back but a quality thief would be a step ahead of me. Until the outfit I deal with demonstrates thievery as a service I have no problems trusting them. I am not a too trusting person but a two way street with the dealer gets far better results in the long term than does standing there watching every move they make which insinuates I don't trust them which will result in some of the examples guys on here post about their dealers.
