Thats what I did. I told them that the GTO was a pleasure use car, truely is, and my Lancer is my DD. My GTO premium is cheaper than my little Lancer.

Funny story.
When I bought my '04 in March, '04............I went to get it plated/registered. The woman at the license brach took one look at the VIN and said, "No, nuhuh, thats a mistake, there are no VIN's that start with 6." Called my insurance agent to get insurance, he says, "they dont have a listing for a GTO." I said, "Its.........uhhh.....a special...uuhhh...V-6 Sunbird...yeah, thats it."
So, I ended up with a GTO that is driven only for pleasure, under 7k a year and under.............well, lets say I cover 2 cars...1 full, the other pl/pd.....for under $900 a year. And it carried over on the '06. No complaints here.
And my insurance is also a "replacement" cost. Heh heh, it also helps when your agent owns a vette and an M3.

That's a good one....

Beware though... If something happens to it and they send an adjuster out to look at it and his reports say it's a sunbird and he sees it's a GTO.... expect a major fight. They will blame you... They will insist you frauded them... Insurance companies never make mistakes......
