Police Searches?

Here in the great state of utah we have a bunch of retarded cops. The other day i was headed through a green light when an officer nudged his way in front of me, i knew I hadnt done anything wrong so i yielded to him let him pass then followed him through the light on the left turn. As soon as we got through he threw on his lights and pulled me and three other cars over that were ahead of him because during construction you cant turn left at that light I suppose, even though i was following an officer that didnt have his lights on. Anyways when he came to talk to me he made me roll my windows up to look for tinting. Is that legal? They were down the whole time and I feel that he was just looking for stuff to ding me on. Does he have the right to have me roll the windows up without probable cause or is that the same as searching my car without permission? ps- my window tint was fine i wasnt ticketed or anything. well not for the tint. but i got a failure to obey traffic signal ticket for following the cop. how lame is that?

This belongs in the retarded cops thread.
You are just another criminal, like me, and all the other degenerates on this forum. You are lucky he didn't bring out the mutt...
I mean "K-9 OFFICER OF THE LAW".

Does anyone see the similarities in the cops, and the Nazis?

I usually find those that complain about the police tend to leave out key elements in their gripe. Yes, the po-po can stop you for window tint and check all window glass. "Search" means anything inside your car....under hood, trunk etc. Yes, the 5-O need a reason to stop you....and once stopped you can be cited for other equipment/moving violations the officer observed. Sometimes its a pain in the ass, yes....but remember, operating a motor vehicle is a priviledge not a right.
I agree, his stopping charge was stretching it a bit.
And as far as government ran by the people....I think we need to start a lot higher up than the local coppers.

yeah I dunno. he can check my window tint if he has a reason. but he was just looking for a reason to write me up. I mean honestly when was the last time you had your windows down and were asked to roll them up? i could understand it if he saw me like rolling them down. A cop doing his job is a lot different then looking for ways to screw you cuz he's bored. If they want to go help out they should sit at stop signs and give people tickets for running through those, because they close to never actually look for a good reason to ticket someone.
