questions from another newb

Well another newb to the site. I just got out of the sport bike scene and am now looking into getting into sport car scene per say. I like the felling of having power at your fingertips in a vehicle I drive. My sportbike was a triumph 675 with a few mods and it was nice but now I have kids and if I need to take them somewhere I need a back seat. So for a stock 05 or 06 it has 400 hp, what type of money would I have to spend to get a 500 hp streetable car. Cam, exhaust, intake, headers what parts do you get your best performance from and if I was to get it to 500hp would everything else hold up or is it a never ending loop of part upgrades?

Hey Man - Welcome aboard... 500 crank HP is not hard to get too and the motor and drive train can handle that and more. The Mods. I have listed get me to around 515 crank HP and it all cost around 6K, give or take a few hundred bucks. Be sure to get her Dyno tuned after your Mods. are installed...Keep us posted on youre hunt...

I'm 525 crank with a cam, heads, ud pulley, K&N CAI, slp headers, x-pipe and tune. My cost were between 6 and 7 K.

Hey thanks guys. As for your mods, is it a all at once or can you do them in steps and if so which mods per step would you do?

Idk if I'd say "fingertips"...more like power at your feet in a car ;-)

I use the torque of the GTO to haul my bikes to the track. You should get a track bike. That way you can still ride and not have to worry about getting wiped out by a drunk in a car.
