R these upgrades worthwhile??? need input...

if anyone could answer all or some of these questions, it would be much appreciated!!! i have an '04/A4-the only mods i have so far are pacesetter headers/cai/resonator delete/flowmaster super 44's. i don't race or go to the track, but i plan on keeping my gto for at least a few more years and am trying to extend the life of my goat-if i can afford it. got laid off a couple of months ago and went from earning mid 50's a year to upper 20's now. i'm not a 'status' type of guy but i'm hoping i can get back to earning what i'm used to soon cuz our goats are thirsty sob's!!! also i've also had bad luck recently with the goat-in the last 2 months someone hit my rear bumper while i was in a store(of course no one around to 'fess up), someone tore off part of my front bumper(probably to steal headlight assembly) and now the power window switch needs replacing. anyway, that's neither here nor there. as i mentioned, i'm just seeing if these upgrades are a good idea to extend the life of my goat-i live i san antonio where it's mild winters(usually) and humid/hot as hell summers.
1...performance electric water pump. if so, what brand???
2...160 degree thermostat-aren't our thermostats inside the water pump housing??? i've also heard that this mod is only worth it if you adjust something to the radiator fan???
3...better transmission cooling. not an expert on this, but i read about some upgraded part that keeps the transmission fluid cooler???
so any of these upgrades good for where i live/extending the life of my goat??? sorry this turned long-but thanks for reading!!!

1. Electric water pump: Not really necessary unless your squeezing every last hp out of your car. Probably only good for 7 hp at like 5000-6000 rpms. If you do buy one, go with MEZIERE.

2. 160* thermo: Helps keep engine temps down and thus helps stop spark knock. It would help, but really isn't necessary until you get at least mildly modded. Also will not help unless you "tune" your radiator fans for the proper temp to come on at.

3. Better trans cooling: I wouldn't even touch it. They don't help a thing and all your doing is asking for a leak.

Hope this helps,
Chris

You would need a tuner of some kind, SLP predator, Superchips Flashpaq, HPTuners, EFIlive, etc. Or you could go to a professional tuner and get it dyno tuned and they could make your fans come on at a cooler temp.
