Radar Detector

Looking for a new radar, just wonder what some of you guys think. Looking at getting the passport 9500i, but others recommend the v1. Just wanted some input on this.

I have always heard good things about the V1, but I decided to go with the Bell RX65 Pro. My brother has the V1 and it seems to be more sensitive than my Bell. However, my Bell has far less false alarms. Overall, I think the V1 is the best on the market.

I have the 9500i in my Chevy 2500HD, the GPS really helps in marking speed traps and areas of false alarms. When the unit picks up radar it speaks and lets you know which radar band has been detected and it also displays your speed. I have the 8500 with a laser shifter in the GTO which is also a good detector,

You driving anywhere a detector is illegal? New detector detector technology came out last year called Spectre. In Virginia, most detectors are becoming worthless.

Good forum here

Valentine One is the best. It picks up everything from front, back and sides. It has worked well for me, especially on local roads.

Does 9500 have arrows? The arrows rule...assuming Spectre not a factor. Arrows and Stealth is a dream. Mute button no matter what.

Lots of urban driving, GPS block maybe a factor. Rural = V1
