Radio Problems

HI

I have a 2005 GTO with radio problems. It does not pick up on AM at all. The dealer installed a module to reduce static on the AM side. Since they installed the new module you hear static when you do the following: turn on the blinkers, when you unlock the doors, when you shift the gears, when you hit the brakes and the brake lights come on, when you latch the seatbelt when the car is running. They have put in a new radio as well. Nothing seems to help. The car seems to do ok on the FM side. Can someone help me. The dealer seems to be at a loss.

This may be a stupid question but...... Have you checked the antenna connection at the radio? Has anyone examined the antenna connection on the glass to see if the connection is still there? Has the antenna wire been traced and examined for cuts, or it being severed?

Welcome to the forum.
Its sounds like it might be the antenna connection on the window.
Do you have tinted windows? If you do they might of probably cut the antenna wire. Just a thought.

Is your windows tinted? I have tinted windows and no more AM. Who listens to AM anyway, j/k.
