Resonator swap for x pipe

Will exchanging your resonator for an x pipe after you arready did a muffler delete, cause you to lose to much back presure and throw an engine code? has anyone ever did this and what was your experience. thanks alot

one more questions if i could, can you just eliminate the resonator and split the 2 lines to make them both seperate from each other, or will the x pipe create enough back presure to help? thanks for your help

I did just that, they put in 2 straight sections in place of the resonator, no codes. BUT, it will get more of a popping/gargling sound after, worse when car is still cold. But I have LT's and an X-pipe now.

An X-pipe has a distinct advantage over seperate duals in that it helps balance the flow and helps with the scavanging effect.
