Shifter Knob Broke Off

My shifter knob broke off when I put my Goat in reverse. Does it screw on? Couldn't tell without taking the console off. I tried to fasten it on, but of course can't see anything with the boot on. Anyway, it's getting towed tomorrow to dealer, ain't gonna try driving it. Thank God I bought the extended warranty.

My parking brake broke, recently, too. Am I eating too many Wheaties, or what?!

The GTO's shift knob is a twist off/on style not threaded like they should be.

I would just suggest looking for a shifter install article they will have to take it on and off. The new GM high tech installed a short stick on a 2004 and they gave instructions for knob removal.

Thanks for the info. At least I'm flying out of town, so they can take their pretty time with it.
