So I need your opinion...

So back in february I was looking for carbon fiber hoods. I found the GRAVANA Tuning website and started to look around. They offered a few different custom parts for the goat, one of which caught my eye. A CARBON FIBER radiator cover. I called them up and ordered the radiator cover. I think I paid like 240 or something after shipping. It took about two weeks to come to Utah from California, but it came. I was very excited to get it and stopped everything I was doing so that I could install it. The part came with simple installation instructions, and seemed very straight forward. I pulled off the old radiator cover, and started in with the new one. I attached the first four screws and realized that the fifth screw hole was about half an inch off. There was no way to attach the thing. I called the carbon fiber manufacture and they treated me like I was stupid for not being able to install the piece. They requested photos of the part not fitting, telling me they could tell what I was doing wrong by looking at the pictures. I questioned their ability to see the problem while looking at a full picture of a 3.5-4 ft radiator cover? Anyway, I complied and took all the pictures for the manufacturer as well as Gravana Tuning. I waited a few days and recieved no reply from them. Finally I called and they requested more pictures. I also talked to a guy that told me a different way of trying to fit the screws into the cover. This method would not work either. Gravana then told me that they doubted there was anything wrong and they could make it custom and cut new holes. I told them that the part should be custom from the start and that what they wanted to do was jimmy rigging it. I then told them that I wanted to return the part. From that point on they stopped answering the phones. I have been trying to return the part for a month. I took the part to a shop and had them voice an opinion to Gravana as well. It was funny because I called them about fifteen times last tuesday about trying to find resolve because I had done everything they had asked up till this point, but no one ever answered the call. When the shop called from a different number Gravana picked up the first time. They told the mechanic that they would be in contact with me the next day. Two days later I got an email telling me that I had to pay to ship the item back and that they would decide if i would have my money refunded after they had checked it all out.

So I am thinking that they are jerking me around. I payed for the part and shipping. I got a defective part and did nothing wrong. Gravana has been drawing out the process all this time and made me send over ten pictures of the problem. I have been compliant with all that they asked and they are still saying I have to pay for the return shipping. If I was going to have to pay return shipping couldn't I have just shipped it back the first day when I realized that it did not fit the vehicle?

Maybe I am stupid, but this situation just doesnt seem right to me.

Get a complaint form from your state's office of Attorney General, and file the complaint. That office has the power to stop them from doing business in your state (get's results).

Also, file a complaint with your Better Business Bureau. Those complaints stay active for 2-5 years if not resolved, and will serve as warning for other would be customers.
The main thing is FIGHT BACK.

u know its funny because they told me another reason it might not fit is because holden claims that the car can have up to an inch in variance on the car and still pass quality check. ha so if there can be an inch in variance how can any company mass produce after market parts for the car. these guys are just full of it huh?

I am looking on the office of attorney generals website but I am not sure what that complaint form would be called? I did file with the BBB and I also filed a credit dispute, but now I am in search of this form. Any ideas?
