Storage question

My 06 is put away for the winter, have a battery tender on and stabilizer in gas. Last winter I started the car and let it run for twenty minutes or so. I've read where some people say to start them up from time to time and others say leave them alone until its time to start driving again. Which is best?

You are referring to short time storage and it is better to start the car and let it come up to operating temperature for 15 minutes. Recommend you do it every month or two. If your short term is less than 1 year it is not necessary to drive the car to keep the seals pliable like what was required many years ago when the seals were made from leather.

If your going to start the car, do it every couple of weeks for about 15 minutes. Also, inflate your tires to 40 lbs to insure no flat spots.

I have had cars on battery tender for the winter with a full tank of stabilized fuel and 40 psi without starting and everything was fine when driving weather arrived.

Thanks for the reply, I've got all the tires at 40 psi and I usually start it up once a month or so to operating temperature.
