"storage" time, Any ideas?

Im sure there will be a rash of the "How to story my car" posts soon. As you all know, we in the Northeast get that white stuff called salt.

Anyhow, ill go first. Its getting around that time i need to start thinking about this again. Last year it wasnt a problem, i had the garage. This year i got "kicked out". The family has a new car and the rule is the newest car gets the garage. My 06 got ousted by an 08. Fair is fair, and for what i pay for rent, i dont get to complain.

My options are as follows.

a.) Store the car outside on the back patio. this would completely freak out our neighbors (cool), but its in the elements. It would probably stay put untill the final thaw.

b.) Friends garage. I would probably pay him something, but again, the garage is detached (its very nice/finished 2 story...), and it would be shared with a hummer. Dings are possible... And if something serious happens, i have to choose friend or car.

c.) Go with a storage facility, i have no idea what this entails, people tell me prices are from $50 to $150 a month depending on amenities.

d.) Ideas?

I dont want to drive it, salt sucks, it eats cars here. last year i avoided permanently storing it, i drove it every nice weekend, which worked out to be 2-3 times a month.

No storage requirements here in the Bay Area, but the whole deal sounds like allot of fun...

Ill probably go with A or C. The good thing about A is that you are always see it there, not have to worry about it. Good luck.

Maybe get one of those portable inflatable garages. Put your baby in a bubble.

B. Just buy some cheap foam and a cover and wrap up the car.
