Tires [I promise, last one]

Guys,

Thanks again for all the advice. I got a few last questions before I click and buy. I'm pretty much set on the Bridgestone RE960AS Pole Position tires. It has the best ratings on tirerack.com, especially for snow, compared to the other all-season performance tires. Plus, at $148 each with $75 back, it's about $129 each, and that ain't bad.

Remember, I have an '06 with the 17", and winter tires are out of the budget [if anyone lives in Michigan right now, they'll understand]. A few newbish questions :

1) I'm stuck at 245mm max, right? Even if I went wider in the rear, which i would like to, I couldn't rotate. Is there anyway I can go 255 or bigger without the strut rub? I checked my current tires and it doesn't seem to be an issue now.
2) Any chance that even though the new rubber is 245 it would somehow start rubbing even though the OEMs didn't?

Lastly, my front two OEM tires are still in good shape, I just melted the rears before I rotated them. If anyone wants two OEMs cheap, let me know.
