hey guys, dumb question but after i wash the goat there is always water in the exhaust pipes and i was wondering if it can rust my exhaust cuz i dont have stainless pipes, i got an aluminized catback and just wanted to kno if i should drive the car around for a while to get it out or am i alright to just wash it and put it in the garage??
My tips' got the drip, though that's just on startup as far as I can tell. Water in your exhaust won't hurt it... goose the gas a few times to purge your pipes, and you should be fine.
Its happened to mine... just fire it up and go for a drying run before parking the goat back in the barn.
LOL, 1st time I was aware of post wash water in the exhaust, my goat puked it all over a friends GTO. We were pulling out of a parking lot and heading to an all GTO event in Jersey. When I jumped on it, my tails deposited 2 perfect stripes on his hood and windshield. Which led to accusations of me trying to sabotage his goat's chance of winning.... after a couple beers and laughing about it.
LOL... I spotted him washing off the windshield thru my DR side rearview just before my cell rang... you bastage was the line I recall hearing with a pissed laugh. So, I bought the beers later and provided advise to not follow so close in the future.
I've been guilty of filling up the mufflers with water on purpose until the car sounds like a power boat.
And drive it carefully since I don't want the exhaust to pre-mature ejaculate water.
Take it around town slowly until some unsuspecting car tail gates me for driving a few MPH under the limit.
and WOT!!!!
Looks something like this in the winter:
