Hi guys. Dumb question, but....

Can I switch from my current stock 18" wheels/tires to 17" stock wheels (for winter use) without any fitment issues?

I'm going to get some winter tires, and the 17s are cheaper than 18s.

17x8s came as standard-level equipment on the GTO.

Provided that you haven't upgraded to larger brakes, and the 17 inch wheels are the proper bolt pattern, width, offset, etc, you can go to 17s.

If you have too much negative camber with 17s, you may get strut rub depending on how wide the tire is. Not all 245/45/17 tires have exactly the same section width.

I'm going the "buy a winter beater" route rather than going with winter rims and tires, myself.
