But none of them got it.
Tonight I went to look at the 2005 GTO with 1600 miles. Yes, 1600. I got there about 20 minutes before closing time. The car was parked next to the office since it had just come back from a test drive.
I got out of my Magnum and was looking it over when one of the salesmen comes and talks to me. He tells me that I "can be #3". Noting the

look on my face, he told me that there are two people trying to buy the car. One of these people was trading in a Magnum.

Salesguy said there was a "bidding war" going on with these folks.
So, we went in and wrote some information down on some paper, then they appraised my Magnum. The papers went in front of the sales manager. The sales guy came back and said told me that there was another person trying to buy this GTO. So, there were now 4 people trying to buy this Goat.
Well, one guy couldn't get the financing so he dropped out. Another guy ended up getting the 2004 GTO that they had. I guess he couldn't get the right numbers out of the '05. With the 3rd person, this guy's salesman started showing him a Canyon, so I'm not sure what happened there. Apparently he was trading in an EVO.

Not sure why one would switch from a Goat to a Canyon, unless he couldn't get the scratch for the

car.
So, this car had been purchased new from this dealership and the owner was "collecting" it. His plan was to keep the car forever, so, he rarely drove it. Apparently, there was a death in the family and the guy decided to trade it in for something else.
Oh yeah, I'll take delivery tomorrow.
