Why are these Rims $$$$$$$$$

I finally saw rims that I still want after 100 veiws. Usually, I change my mind before 50 veiws. They are HSV VX GTX and apparently Aussie. Well, a set of 4 cost app 2400 dollars.. Ugh!!!!
Does anyone know about these Rims and why they are so much

Hmm. Because there is nothing to them? Looks like they would crumble around the first hard corner. $2,400 plus shipping from Ausise? Big bucks man...I think our OEM's look cool and plan to keep mine, maybe a powder coat, but that's about it. My .02 on the subject...

Every now and then, I look at rims. I like the OEM rims as well-just wondering what made these hsv rims so special.

Weak $ value on the exchange rate and US Customs duty come to mind....

Too low profile for me....

...heck, I really don't like the 18's on my GTO. Those 19s look like someone retreaded the wheel. Do those tires even have air in them? I seriously doubt there is any handling advantage. JMO

It looks like any hard cornering at all and you'll be damaging the rims.

Five reasons:
1. They are genuine GM wheels
2. They are genuine Holden Special Vehicle wheels
3. Genuine GM parts demand a premium
4. GM's HSV division adds to that premium
5. Did I mention Genuine GM parts are expensive? (i.e. $913 for a GTO alternator...)
