Winter tires and wheel set up

I was wonder what people are doing for winter tires/wheels.

I can get a set of Dunlop winter sport m3 plus a nice alloy wheel package from tire rack. This set up would be the 245/45/17 that comes on the Gto.

I want to save some money, however because I have a 3 year smartbuy on the Gto. If i just buy the snow tires it will cost me $50 two times a year to get the tires mounted and balanced, plus it would be a bit of a pain taking the extrra set of tires to the shop each time.

I think I want to just get snows mounted on rims, but I don't need special alloy wheels.

Anyone have any info?

I would watch Ebay for a cheap set of BMW or GTO rims.
