Quality and the GTO

Mine was perfect except for the B&M shifter. How is yours?

Excellent at 63,000 miles under the wheels. Two small b1tches-- the seat bucket is starting to sag a bit and that damned shifter rattle (which is easy enough to fix).

One major issue-- the T56 grenading at 30k miles.

reverse light trigger blew in week one, which caused the turn signals to blow. Took it to the dealer, they fixed it, but scratched the dash, then only put 5.5 quarts of oil in it when I changed it at 1,000. Not the cars fault though.

now the AC compressor is extremely loud, shifter is rattling, rattle fromt he door, car doesn't go into gear all the time.....getting real annoying.

But oh well, my GMM should arrive today and just dropped $450 on Noltec bushings

btw, had the car for 5 weeks, have 2500 miles and loving every minute of it.

Had mine 10 days now. 1100 miles later no complaints. I'll post if I get something.

I am about to pursue Buyback on mine. The car has been overheating and using 1/2-3/4 Gallons of coolant every 2-3K miles (15K miles on odo now). This is the fourth trip to the Dealer for this problem...
Right now it has been at the dealer for the last 10 days with the heads off waiting for final authorization from the Zone Rep to replace the entire engine.

They cannot find a leak and there is no sign of problems with the heads.
GM is now just throwing parts at the problem (And very expensive parts at that)

I am betting that even if they replace the Engine the problem will return....

I f they can't find the leak, it sounds like the intake gasket. Had the same problem with my 97 tahoe, coolant leaked right into the engine oil and destroyed everything.

You don't think a complete engine replacement would fix the problem? WOW!!!! I cannot imagine that not solving a problem, unless there is a coolant piping issue somewhere.
