Went back to track last night, for the first time on race tune. Lance behind the wheel of course. We stayed on 16 lb tune and left the 20 alone. In fact, we decided not to try the 20 until the full cage goes in (scheduled in 9 days). Safety first, fun second, times third.
Six runs
10.721 at 124.89, 1.471 60 foot
10.761 at 124.64, 1.460
10.767 at 126.77, 1.486
10.693 at 125.08, 1.477
10.689 at 125.40, 1.458
10.669 at 125.29, 1.458
Not seen a single GTO at the track yet. I remember last season seeing some modded GTOs (think nitrous and procharged???) that were really really quick. If I see one out here, I'll take video regardless who's in the other lane.
nice times, i'm envious! should be very interesting with the 20 lbs. think you can pull your motor out and put it into my fox? i bet i can get it to run faster

We're in the summer pattern of hot sticky weather until October. 9s are very possible by the end of 08. While the 8 point is being converted to full cage, car will receive safety welds and other safety stuff to pass certification in August. I still use the car on the street (1/2 mile to work), although it's not something you would want to commute 30 minutes in every day.
The turbo, motor, rearend, and transmission are good for about 1100 hp. I guess the next step would be fuel cell and return system. Looking into minitub as well. There is definitely a trade off between faster and faster at the track and streetability.
