Nissan GT-R 0-60 in 3.3 WOW

This is the first review of the Nissan GT-R by Inside Line. Amazing numbers. Z06/ZR1/Viper killer. Faster then cars 4-5 times its price.

Enjoy....YouTube - Nissan GT-R: World´s 1st Full Test - Inside Line Exclusive

I think you need to remove both the Z06 and the ZR1. The Z06 is on record with a time in the high 10s in the 1/4. And that is completely stock down to the factory tires. And there haven't even been any testing and time trials posted for the ZR1 so how can it be killed by any car out there. The GT-R is a fast car but let's see what it does once it hits American soil. Personally I think that if it still posts the same times here as the ones it posted in Japan the hp ratings are definitely lower than what's being told IMHO. That car is a beast though.

Too bad they're going to have crappy markups.

And 6QTS- Are you trying to say it's overrated, powerwise???

Yeah I meant to say that the car is underrated. I bet the hp is closer to 500 or better. I saw a video of one being dyno tuned but I forgot what the numbers were. All in all the car is still pretty cool. Not my cup of tea but that doesn't mean anything. I'm sure some out there would give their left sack for it.

As long as kiwis and balloons are available you can always make a new set of danglers.

Oh, yeah, that makes sense. The guys over at my350Z really stay on top of the GT-R thing (go figure, huh?) and post vidoes every now and then. Several cars in Japan have already been dynoed. They are making 470ish at the hubs. Factor in rolling stock, and the number would drop slightly. So figure around 550-560hp at the crank. Def underrated. If will be interesting to see how the aftermarket catches on for this thing.

I personally like them, but it would've been nice had Nissan made them 300lbs lighter and offered a true manual. Oh well, not like I can afford anyway...

No surprise on the 0-60 and 1/4 mile, but I suspect as speeds and distance get higher, the weight and complex AWD will have the Viper and Z06/ZR1 leaving it behind. It does have some great handling and braking though!
