well it is actually my girlfriend owns the GTO. ... i .... um.... well i sold it to her. (that is how we met actually.) anyway enought with the sappy crap.. it makes me want to vomit i am so happy. i could really punch a unicorn in the face.

ugh. alright its an 04 manual 6-speed. black with red interior. She picked it up with just under 30,000 miles on it. currently just over 33,000 on the clock.

In general she likes it.... except for a few issues. the usual water leaks... and that water (or something) has dripped from the celing onto the rear passenger seat and jacked it all up.... oh yeah and nobody wants to cover it under warrenty. ... but they are covering the center piece that has shrank due to the sun. but not the seams that have pulled on top of the seats???

go figure

anyway, i like driving it. i will toss her the keys to my rainier anytime

They replaced the backseat cover on my 05, for the seams pulled apart and the center shrink. It's all due to to sun shrinkage. They made the cover too tight and with no give in the seam thread. You should help her look into this further. Pontiac needs to replace the entire rear seat cover. Raise some hell with them, and/or go to another dealer. Call GM direct, lodge a complaint with consumer services (the Govt.). Main thing is, don't take this s#!t laying down.

right now she is talking to gm to fix the rear seat. i need to get some pics of it to post.. its pretty bad. water (or something) dripped from the roof onto the rear seat and then ran accross the seat to the middle of the car. the leather swelled and has hardened. only along the path of liquid. the rest of the seat is soft like it should be. you can also tell this has happened more than once as it has further outer 'rings.' anyone else run into this?
