WHICH EVER THEY DECIDE TO COME OUT WITH IN THE FUTURE GTO OR FIREBRID. I WILL ONLY GET RID OF MY CURRENT '06 GOAT IF THE NEW FUTURE GTO/FIREBIRD LOOKS REALLY GOOD AND IF IT HAS MORE HORSEPOWER THAN I ALREADY HAVE!!! I'M CURIOUS TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS!! NOW IF IT LOOKS LIKE MY AVATAR PICTURED TO THE LEFT I MAY HAVE TO SELL CURRENT GOAT.

I have not yet seen a "retro" GTO concept that looked easy on the eyes. Maybe some designs just don't translate well in retro styling.

This is the one I'm waiting for.

A G8 based 2 door would be just my speed!

People make advancements for a reason, there is no reason to try and make new cars look like old ones. I personally like some retro styling, but to judge a new car based on whether it looks like an older car or not makes no sense. Maybe they will create a cool new two door like a G8, who knows.

Some designs work, some don't. I, personally have never had a problem with the design of the new GTO, even with having a classic. I have always said that if the GTO had never stopped production in 74, and had continued to evolve, it probably would have looked like it does anyway. Based on the direction that Pontiac styling went through with other models.

My biggest issue with retro-style is this: How do you follow up? Example, look at the PT Cruiser. Retro styling hit for sure, but it hasn't changed in 7 years and I think it will get killed because they have no clue how to follow it, or evolve the styling.

Russ

I'd love to see that car marketed as is without that ricer wing.

Russ, you're gonna need a large trailer to bring your inventory to shows, parades, and meets.
