My name is Jason, and I'm on the hunt for a 05-06 GTO! I recently descided to sell my 03 Yukon Denali and get something that doesn't kill at the pump. I already have a 02 Z06, and a 67 RS/SS Camaro. So I'm no stranger to GM Muscle! I originaly was looking at 02 Camaro SS or T/A WS6, but for a clean low mileage one the prices are close or the same to a GTO. And I'm not into Stangs, so all the signs pointed to a GTO. I've been checking local adds & autotrader numerous times a day for the past 2 days, and may have a lead on a 05 Black/Black M6 with 36k miles I can get for $20k. But I have to either sell or not get bent over on a trade in for my Denali. Time will tell, but I need to get the low down on these cars, and this looks like the place to get it.
If anyone near me is selling their goat please hit me up! I'll be lurking around here checking on what's what.
Of course I can't leave you guys without posting any pics! So here's my rides, enjoy!
Welcome to the forum!
Very nice cars, I see you switched your shifter to the C6, nice choice. Any special reason you want another car? getting rid of the vette soon? Either way goodluck with your search and once again very nice rides youve got there!

Nice, very clean rides. Word to the wise, check the LS1GTO forum for their classified ads. They seem to beat up on people who may have higher priced cars, so you will usually see reasonably priced GTOs.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!
I'm selling my current DD, a 03 Denali. It's a great truck, but it's a little overkill for a single guy with no kids. I was gonna put some 24's and bag it. But with the way gas is going it's killing me already having to fill up the 26 gal tank in that beast!
The vette is a keeper, 02 with only 18k miles. I put some AR LT's, catted X, Corsa Pace Car Cat Back, Halltech CAI, & dyno tuned @ Synergy Motorsports in Newark, CA. Here's a dyno sheet

Welcome
Thanks for the tip, I'll check that out. It's kinda the same way on the corvetteforum, that's why I advertise my cars on craigslist and not the forums.
I have never delt with Synergy. I have gone to Newtech Performance and it was decent, but they were way to hard to get a hold of and his crew looked about 17 years old. I hooked-up with Robert over at Advanced Dyno and have been super impressed with him and his crew. Just a real knowledgeable and nice guy that will actually shoot the chit with you and he knows what he's talking about...The drive to Fairfield is a drag, but worth it...

Advanced Dyno is a good shop, great bunch of guys. I went to a Dyno Nite there in April, free food, good folks, good times. My Z did 380rwhp/37?rwtq on their heart breaker Dynojet the drive from the south bay does suck, especially on a Friday.
Rick @ Synergy is a great guy, so far he's the only guy to work on my Z. Always happy with the results, and not a 2+ hour drive either. I've heard good things about Newtech, haven't been by there yet. I figure it's good to stick with 1 tuner/1 dyno.
So I have yet to drive a GTO. There are zero of them on car lots near me, but I did drive a new G8. I have to say I was surprised, it road great and looked good for a large sedan. But the power wasn't there, it's a heavy car so that didn't surprise me. I've got a lead on one in Newark, 05 Black/Black M6 with 38k miles I can get for $20+tax. Price wise how does that sound?
