A hello from PA

Hi im new to this forum and joined it because this april i will be purchasing a new car, hopefully a GTO. Im 17 and live in Lancaster PA. I looked around for a long time before finding the GTO and deciding on it. I want to buy an 06-04 and give it some extra power then work on the outside. im trying to decide on whether or not to go manual or auto, it will be my daily driver and i wont be going for long trips in it. heres what i want my GTO to end up like just different colors.

i cant find body kits like that though, anywhere. anyone have some links to some?

Welcome. You want to add more power? Why would you want to add more power, do you know how much power it has already? I think not. I shouldnt care but every time a "KID" comes on talking about adding more "suicide power" to a car that they have no idea about sounds crazy to me. I've been driving for over 15 years now and my 06 still gives me chills every time I drive it. You on the other hand are just starting to crawl sort of speak and you're already looking to kill yourself. My advise to you if you do end up buying this machine is to leave it the way it is and get use to driving it safe then do you're mods. Good luck to you, this not a mustang you are buying its a beast.

Well first off i wont be adding anymore power for a long time if i do that, at least a year before i would have enough money for one 1000 dollar part if that. Second most likely i will end up adding the look mods first. when i said above that i was gonna do power first i messed up and meant looks first. I dont have the mechanical knowledge to do any power mods. im going to attempt to learn over the next year or two

are the v6's pretty fast still cause i dont think my mom wants me to get a v8 which ok with me if the v6's are fast. I know they are 3.7l, i know my brothers audi is 1.7 or something like that. Does that mean the 3.7 is around 2 times as fast or are there other factors like weight involved?

i think im retarded cause from what ive found they dont even make a GTO v6 unless they do, then im double retarded. I think i was thinking of the 3.8L grand prix

Welcome to the forums.
Kinda reminds me of the 82 Firebird I traded for my GTO. I had a stout built 454 in there with fuel injection and the thing would fly. The guy I traded sold the engine and tranny out of it to a kid with a `70 nova. He calls about a wire for the fuel injection and wanted to know where it went, then proceeds to tell me he`s going to change the valve springs, cam, and add NO2. So I asked him, did you drive the motor when it was in the Firebird? Yes, he said. When you were driving the car, were you able to floor the throttle? Yes, he says again. So I ask, when you had the throttle on the floor, were you able to keep it floored for anything more then 5 seconds? No....so if your not able to floor the car for anything more then 5 seconds at a time now, WTF do you need NO2 for??
