Hi from OZ

Hi guys I have been looking at your site for a while and joined up yesterday.
I glade you like our MONARO their a great car. I had a 1975 monaro and fitted a 350 chev with a turbo 400 auto box and a single turbo kit imported from the US in the 80s and it went fairly well. They stoped making them in 1976 and didnt think there ever would be another one made but thanks to Michael Simcoe, he when behind GM back with a handfull of volunteers and designed the one we have now ( strangely enough he didnt want to call it a monaro hence monaro CV8 in OZ)
The first ones came out in 2001 and I could not help myself and bought a Monaro in 2002 in devil yellow, with a sun roof and rear park assist. Ive done the usual mods and its putting out 240kws at the rear wheels. I have fitted a HSV front bar and rear wing which is different from the one you get over there its more like a bobtail, black HSV tail lights and after market wheels, and a slightly custom interior.
I noticed the problem you are having with scrubing tyres on the front struts we dont have that problem over here and I think you right with the tyre size being the problem.
When I get a chance I will post up some pitures of my MONARO for you.

I have also started making binnical pods for the LH drive GTOs if your interested I have one lised on ebay in the US check it out I have sold 5 over there already.

Welcome! Can't wait to see pics of your ride!
Do you have a link to the pods?

AJS, tried to locate the pod package you wrote about but didn't find on ebay. Only one there is the cheep one that gets taped on out of NC state. Also, have to say in 77 I made 2 trips to Melbourne/ Sidney/ Brisbane while working on a container ship and wondered then why GM wasn't exploiting Holden for the USA market. There engineering has put out some very interesting rides. Starting to warm up here, hate to say it, but stay warm as your winter is close at hand.
